Sometimes life seems to get a little boring, and the days begin to pass in the blink of an eye.  So I&#8217;ve decided to write this post in an effort to keep myself inspired and to remind myself not to let my life get too boring as I quickly approach my 31st year.  There are some things that I&#8217;ve accomplished that I can look back upon to remind myself that I am <b>living<\/b>, and there things I want to do to make sure I keep living.  On days when life gets frustrating and starts to seem pretty boring, I remind myself of these things that I&#8217;ve done and can continue to be proud of.  And along with that, I have to keep reminding myself of all the things out there that I want to do!<\/p>\n<p>So here is my list&#8230; And now it&#8217;s your turn.<\/p>\n<p><b>What are your accomplishments and goals? How do you stay motivated?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Done and\/or accomplished:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attended the <a href=\"http:\/\/idealistcafe.com\/blog\/travel\/new-years-eve-full-moon-party-koh-phangan\/\">New Year&#8217;s Full Moon Party in Koh Phangan, Thailand<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.idealistcafe.com\/travel\/united-states\/california-mt-whitney.php\">Summitted the highest mountain in the continental United States<\/a> (Mt Whitney) in one day (up and back, 22 miles, 18 hours, 6000+ ft elevation gain)<\/li>\n<li>Driven across the United States (3 times, once alone, twice with a friend)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/idealistcafe.com\/blog\/travel\/bicycle-trip-from-san-diego-to-phoenix-new\/\">Bicycled from San Diego, California to Phoenix, Arizona<\/a>, 400 miles in 7 days<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.idealistcafe.com\/travel\/travel-index.php#spain\">Backpacked Spain alone for two weeks<\/a> and also ventured into Morocco<\/li>\n<li>Completed two half marathons, the <a href=\"http:\/\/idealistcafe.com\/blog\/outside\/half-marathon-success-minimalist-style\/\">2nd one in just my Vibram Five Fingers<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Left my family and moved to California by myself<\/li>\n<li>Went to the 2003 NCAA Final Four Basketball tournament at the Louisiana Superdome<\/li>\n<li>Taken a <a href=\"http:\/\/idealistcafe.com\/blog\/travel\/riding-the-amtrak-from-san-diego-to-portland\/\">train 1000 miles up the West Coast, from San Diego to Portland, Oregon<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Taken a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.idealistcafe.com\/travel\/united-states\/amtrak-cross-country-united-states.php\">train some 3000 or so miles across the United States<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Driven the gorgeous Pacific Coast Highway up the California coast to Monterrey<\/li>\n<li>Fasted on water only for 4 days<\/li>\n<li>Did a <a href=\"http:\/\/idealistcafe.com\/blog\/health-diet\/21-day-raw-food-cleanse\/\">21 Day Raw Food Cleanse<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/idealistcafe.com\/travel\/costa-rica\/costa-rica-newyears-travel.php#photos\">New Years in Costa Rica<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Things I want to do:<\/b> (Not limited to just this list \ud83d\ude42 )<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finish a marathon or longer race<\/li>\n<li>Take an overnight hiking\/backpacking trip<\/li>\n<li>Ride my bike up the Pacific Coast<\/li>\n<li>TRAVEL more (Asia, Africa, more of Europe, South America, anywhere really)<\/li>\n<li>Walk from San Diego to Oregon along the PCH<\/li>\n<li>Live in a van or RV for at least a month<\/li>\n<li>Hike some or all of the Appalachian Trail<\/li>\n<li>Become self employed<\/li>\n<li>Hike Mt Kilimanjaro<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"photo excerpt alignleft\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.idealistcafe.com\/images\/uploaded\/MtWhitney-summit.jpg\" alt=\"Mount Whitney Summit\" class=\"size-excerpt\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mt Whitney Summit &#8212; August 2008<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>There are days when I feel accomplished, and there are days when I feel down.
